Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Brooks Ghost Max 4, proper care is essential. When you first receive the shoes, ensure a 'thumb-width' of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to allow for natural foot swelling during activity. For routine maintenance, remove loose dirt after runs using a soft-bristled brush. If the trainers become wet, stuff them with newspaper or a dedicated shoe dryer to help them retain their shape while drying. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can damage the proprietary cushioning foam and adhesives. Replace the insoles if they lose their spring or become compressed, and consider rotating between two pairs of shoes if you train daily to allow the foam to fully decompress between uses.
