Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Surface Preparation
For optimal 15-year performance, proper surface preparation is crucial.
- Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the masonry, removing all loose material, dirt, dust, and any existing mould or algae. Use a stiff brush, scraper, or a power washer if appropriate. For mould/algae, treat with a fungicidal wash and rinse thoroughly.
- Repair: Fill any cracks, holes, or defects with suitable exterior filler and allow to dry. Ensure repairs are smooth.
- Inspect: Check for any flaky or peeling old paint; remove completely.
- Prime (if necessary): On very porous or chalky surfaces, or areas where repairs have been made, apply a suitable exterior primer/stabiliser as recommended by the manufacturer. Allow to dry fully.
- Application: Ensure the surface is completely dry before painting. Apply two coats evenly using a brush or roller. Avoid applying in direct hot sun, extreme cold, or when rain is imminent.

- Cleaning: The Stay Clean technology helps reduce dirt build-up. For general cleaning, simply rinse with water or gently wipe with a damp, soft cloth. Avoid harsh abrasives or strong chemical cleaners.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect your painted surfaces for any minor damage or areas that may require touch-up to maintain the integrity of the 15-year protection.
- Storage: Store paint in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and frost. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed.
