Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
When you first receive your Nike Phantom Luna II Academy FG MG boots, gently flex them to begin the breaking-in process. Wear them around the house for short periods to allow them to mold to your foot shape before your first training session or match. Ensure laces are tied securely but not overly tight to prevent discomfort and maximize fit.
Compatibility
These boots feature a `Multi-Ground (FG/MG)` soleplate, making them compatible with both:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm or slightly damp.
- Artificial Grass (AG/MG): Modern artificial turf surfaces.
Avoid using these boots on extremely wet, muddy, or icy natural grass, or very abrasive older artificial turf, as this can damage the soleplate and compromise performance.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can cause materials to crack or shrink. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a boot bag can protect them during transport.
