Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Dr. Martens Jadon boots are ready to wear right out of the box. Utilize the inside zip for quick and easy fitting. For your first few wears, it's recommended to wear thick socks to aid in the breaking-in process and minimize potential discomfort from the stiff new leather.
Compatibility
These boots are highly versatile and complement a wide array of fashion styles. Their black Polished Smooth leather and iconic design pair well with casual jeans, skirts, dresses, or more edgy ensembles. They are designed to bring "attitude on the move in every outfit."
Care
Maintaining the Polished Smooth leather is key to the longevity and appearance of your Jadon boots:
- Cleaning: Wipe down your boots regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. For tougher marks, use a specialized leather cleaner.
- Conditioning: Apply a good quality leather conditioner, such as Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam, periodically. This helps keep the leather supple, prevents drying and cracking, and enhances its water resistance. Apply with a cloth, rub it into the leather, and buff for a gentle sheen.
- Polishing: For a high-shine finish, use Dr. Martens Shoe Polish. Apply in thin coats and buff with a brush or cloth. You can also choose to embrace a more worn-in, scuffed look by opting not to polish frequently.
- Drying: If your boots get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can dry out and damage the leather.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
