Yes, they generally follow standard adult UK sizing, but keep in mind that wearing thicker socks may influence your preferred fit.
Yes, the boots have enough interior volume to accommodate most standard aftermarket insoles.
Depending on usage frequency, conditioning once every few months is usually sufficient to keep the leather supple.
Wear thick socks and limit initial usage to short periods to allow the material to soften.
Use a neutral leather polish or cleaner formulated for smooth leathers to buff out scuffs and restore the finish.
Use a stiff-bristled brush to dislodge pebbles or mud from the rubber grooves.
To ensure your Dr. Martens boots last for years, start by wearing them for short intervals initially to allow the material to break in without causing irritation. For cleaning, remove loose dirt with a soft brush and use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. For the leather components, apply a leather-specific conditioner periodically to prevent drying or cracking. Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources to preserve the integrity of the rubber sole and leather upper. Ensure your socks are thick enough to provide a buffer during the first few wears to protect your heels while the structure relaxes.
