Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Wear: When first trying on your new Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Academy MG boots, ensure they fit snugly but comfortably, without excessive pressure points. Walk around in them for a few minutes.
- Break-in Period: It's recommended to wear the boots for a few short training sessions or light activities before a full match. This allows the FlyTouch Lite material to mold to your foot for optimal comfort and performance.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing patterns to find the fit that best suits your foot shape and provides maximum lockdown.
Compatibility
- Pitch Types: The 'MG' (Multi-Ground) designation means these boots are compatible with both natural grass pitches (Firm Ground - FG) and artificial turf pitches (Artificial Ground - AG). They offer a balanced stud configuration for versatility across these surfaces.
- Player Type: Ideal for players across all positions who prioritize touch, comfort, and versatile traction.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, clean off any mud or debris from the upper and sole plate using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry. For a deeper clean, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Drying: Always air dry your boots at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as extreme heat can damage the FlyTouch Lite material and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. You can stuff them with newspaper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: Use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots to combat odors.
