Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Your new Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Academy MG boots are ready to wear, though a short break-in period is often beneficial for new footwear. Wear them during light training sessions or for shorter periods initially to allow the FlyTouch Lite material to conform to your foot shape for optimal comfort.
Compatibility: These boots feature a Multi-Ground (MG) sole plate, making them compatible with various playing surfaces. They perform well on firm natural grass pitches and most types of artificial turf (AG). Avoid using them on extremely soft, muddy grounds or very hard, abrasive surfaces, as this can affect performance and durability.
Care: Proper care extends the life of your boots and maintains their performance.
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by gently tapping the boots together. Wipe the entire surface with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, use a soft brush and mild soap, then wipe clean.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers) as these can damage the FlyTouch Lite material and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb any residual moisture.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, consider using boot deodorizers or placing dry tea bags inside overnight.
