Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the masonry surface is clean, sound, and completely dry before painting. Remove any loose material, dirt, or previous flaking paint to ensure proper adhesion.
- Mixing: If using more than one can of paint for your project, it is highly recommended to mix them together in a larger container. This ensures consistent colour across your entire painted area.
- Application Tools: Apply the paint with a suitable brush or roller, ensuring even coverage.
- Coats: Apply two coats for full protection, optimal colour depth, and maximum durability.
- Drying Between Coats: Allow a minimum of 4 hours drying time between the first and second coat. Do not rush this step, as it can affect the paint's performance.
- Environmental Conditions: For best results and proper curing, only apply this paint in dry conditions, when the ambient temperature is above 10°C, and when bad weather (such as rain or frost) is not forecast for the drying period.
Compatibility
Do not use this paint on common or Fletton bricks. It is specifically formulated for other types of masonry surfaces. If you are unsure about your specific brick type, it's advisable to consult a professional or test a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility and desired results.
Care
Once applied and fully cured, the paint's 'Stay Clean' technology helps reduce the need for frequent cleaning. If cleaning becomes necessary, use a soft brush and a mild detergent solution with water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or high-pressure washing equipment, as these can potentially damage the paint film and reduce its lifespan. Store any unused paint in a cool, dry place, ensuring the lid is tightly sealed to maintain product integrity for future touch-ups.
