Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- First Wear: When first wearing your new Nike Phantom Luna II Academy boots, ensure they feel snug but not uncomfortably tight. Take a few light steps to assess the fit.
- Break-in Period: It's recommended to wear the boots for a few light training sessions or casual kickabouts before a full match. This allows the materials to mold to your foot shape, enhancing comfort and reducing stiffness.
Compatibility:
These boots feature an engineered outsole designed to provide maximum grip on various playing surfaces. This versatility makes them suitable for use on most common football pitches, including natural grass fields. Always assess the specific pitch conditions to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Care:
- Post-Match Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove mud, dirt, and debris from the upper and outsole. Use a soft brush for stubborn dirt on the studs.
- Stubborn Stains: For tougher marks, use a mild soap solution (like diluted dish soap) with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry completely at room temperature. Do not place them directly on heaters, in direct sunlight, or in a tumble dryer, as extreme heat can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid leaving them in a sealed bag or damp environment, which can lead to odor and material degradation.
- Odor Prevention: If possible, remove insoles after use to allow them to air out separately. Consider using boot deodorizers or cedar inserts to help absorb moisture and keep them fresh.
