Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the off-centre laces sufficiently to allow your foot to slide in comfortably. The Dynamic Fit collar may feel snug initially.
- Fit: Ensure your heel is securely seated in the back of the boot. Your toes should have a small amount of space at the front, but not enough for your foot to slide around.
- Tighten: Systematically tighten the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring an even, snug fit across your foot. The off-centre design should feel natural, creating a larger striking surface.
- Break-in: New boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for short training sessions initially to allow the materials to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means natural grass fields that are dry and relatively hard. Using them on soft ground (SG) or artificial turf (AG) may lead to suboptimal performance, increased wear on the boots, or a higher risk of injury. Always match your boot type to the playing surface.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Nike Phantom Luna II Academy boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any excess mud or dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage the synthetic materials.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled paper inside to help maintain their shape.
- Refer to Product Label: For specific care instructions regarding materials like NikeSkin, always consult the care label provided with your product. Info needed: [Specific care instructions for NikeSkin or synthetic materials if available on label]
