Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Break-in Period: While the upper is softer, a short break-in period is recommended. Wear them for a few light training sessions or walks to allow the material to conform perfectly to your foot shape before a full match.
- Socks: Always wear your preferred football socks when trying on and breaking in the boots to ensure the fit is accurate.
Compatibility
These boots are designed as FG MG (Firm Ground / Multi Ground). This means they are ideal for:
- Firm, natural grass pitches: Standard grass fields that are dry to slightly damp.
- Modern artificial turf (3G/4G): Pitches with longer synthetic fibers and rubber infill. Avoid using them on older, shorter-pile artificial turf or hard ground, as this can cause discomfort and accelerate stud wear.
Care
Proper care extends the lifespan of your boots and maintains their performance:
- Clean After Every Use: Remove loose dirt and grass immediately after playing. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub the upper and soleplate.
- Wash: For stubborn dirt, use mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as these can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure all soap residue is removed to prevent material degradation.
- Air Dry: Stuff the boots with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape. Allow them to air dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., radiators), which can cause cracking or shrinking.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them from scratches and keep them separate from other gear.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not soak the boots in water for extended periods.
- Inspect Regularly: Check for any signs of wear, especially on the studs and seams, to address minor issues before they become major problems.
