Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Breaking In Your Boots
- First Wear: Wear your new Phantom 6 Elite boots for short periods during light practice sessions or warm-ups.
- Gradual Increase: Gradually extend the wear time as the boots conform to your feet. Avoid wearing them for a full match initially to prevent discomfort.
- Lacing: Experiment with lacing tension to find the most secure yet comfortable fit for your foot shape. The asymmetric design allows for a snug wrap.
Compatibility: Pitch Types and Foot Types
- These boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, meaning natural grass fields that are relatively dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft ground (SG) may damage the soleplate and compromise performance.
- The new shoe frame offers a more accommodating fit, particularly for feet that may have struggled with narrower toe boxes in the past. This makes them suitable for a broader range of adult male foot types.
Care: Cleaning and Maintenance
- Post-Match Clean: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or cloth.
- Wipe Down: Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to gently wipe down the upper and soleplate.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources, which can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Soleplate Lacquer: Please note that the lacquer finish on the soleplate is designed to wear off during play. This is a normal cosmetic change and will not affect the product's performance or durability.
