Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen laces fully before putting on the boots. Insert your foot, ensuring the heel is snug at the back and toes have adequate space without sliding. Tighten the laces evenly from bottom to top, ensuring a secure but comfortable fit. The low-cut asymmetric Flyknit collar is designed for easy entry and a supportive feel.
- Break-in: While the new shape is designed to be accommodating, a short break-in period is recommended for optimal comfort and performance. Wear them for light training sessions or walks before competitive matches.
Compatibility
These boots are Firm Ground (FG) specific. They are designed for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces (IC) can damage the boots and may lead to reduced performance or injury. Always check your playing surface before use.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, use a mild soap solution and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the Gripknit upper and soleplate.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), which can cause materials to stiffen or crack. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. The TV-inspired box provided with this EAFC edition offers an ideal storage solution.
- Lacquer Note: Please note that the iridescent lacquer finish on the bottom of these boots may wear off during play. This is a normal cosmetic change and will not affect the performance or durability of the product.
