The HOKA Bondi 9 is designed for runners seeking maximum cushioning and plush comfort for daily mileage and recovery runs. Featuring a revamped super-critical foam midsole and a breathable structured knit upper, it provides a stable, protective ride for long-distance training. While its substantial stack height offers industry-leading shock absorption, the added bulk and weight may not appeal to runners prioritizing speed-focused, lightweight racing gear.

The Bondi 9 is primarily designed for road running. While the outsole offers good traction, it lacks the aggressive lugs required for technical trails.
The upper is constructed using an engineered, breathable mesh containing 55% recycled polyester.
Yes, the stock insoles are removable and can be replaced with custom orthotic inserts if needed.
The Bondi 9 is categorized as a neutral shoe. While the wide base provides inherent stability, it does not feature specific mechanical support for severe overpronation.
Like most running shoes, they typically last between 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface and biomechanics.
No, the breathable mesh upper is designed for airflow and will not repel water effectively in wet conditions.
Try the 'runner's loop' or 'heel lock' lacing technique to secure the ankle more firmly.
The foam often requires a short break-in period of 20-30 miles to reach optimal responsiveness and flexibility.
To ensure the longevity of your HOKA Bondi 9s, use the traditional lacing system to secure the midfoot without overtightening, which could cause discomfort over long distances. Utilize the extended heel tab to prevent damage to the heel counter when putting the shoes on. Cleaning should be done by hand using a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid machine washing or tumble drying, as high heat can degrade the integrity of the foam midsole and adhesive bonds. If the shoes become soaked, remove the insoles and air dry them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
