Setup
Running shoes generally require minimal 'setup'.
- Lacing: Ensure a snug but not overly tight fit. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points or heel slippage. The woven mesh upper will mold slightly to your foot over a few runs.
- Break-In: While the Zoom Fly 6 is designed for immediate performance, it's always advisable to wear them for a few shorter runs before tackling a major race or long training session. This allows the shoe to adapt to your foot dynamics.
Compatibility
- Running Surface: These shoes are specifically designed for road running (asphalt, concrete, track). The thin rubber outsole provides optimal grip and durability on these surfaces.
- Run Type: Ideal for fast-paced daily training, tempo runs, interval training, and race day performances across various distances (5K to marathon).
- Foot Type: Best suited for runners with neutral pronation. While the carbon plate offers some inherent stability, it is not designed as a stability shoe for overpronators.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your Zoom Fly 6:
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap (like dish soap) mixed with cool water and a soft cloth or sponge. Gently scrub the upper and midsole. Avoid harsh chemicals.

- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving them in a hot car.
