Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old sealant.
- Cut the nozzle at an angle to achieve the desired bead size.
- Apply the sealant using a standard sealant gun to the joint.
- Tool the sealant immediately after application using a damp tool or spatula to ensure good surface contact and a neat finish.
- Remove excess sealant with a damp cloth before it cures.
Compatibility:
The Tecnic Silicone 825 is compatible with most common building materials including concrete, brickwork, masonry, aluminium, uPVC, painted wood, and glass. It is certified to ISO 11600 F25LM and G25LM. Avoid using on surfaces that may bleed oils or plasticizers, such as some rubbers and bitumen.
Care:
Once fully cured, the sealant can be cleaned using mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners which may damage the surface.
