Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation
For optimal results, ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose material.
- Clean: Wipe down walls to remove dust, dirt, and grease. Use a mild detergent if necessary, then rinse thoroughly.
- Fill: Repair any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth.
- Prime (if needed): For new plaster, porous surfaces, or significant colour changes, apply a suitable primer or mist coat (paint diluted with water according to manufacturer guidelines).
- Sand: Lightly sand previously painted glossy surfaces to create a key for adhesion.
- Mask: Use painter's tape to protect skirting boards, architraves, and other areas not to be painted.
Application
- Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
- Apply with a brush or roller for a smooth, even finish.
- Typically, two coats are recommended for full coverage. Allow adequate drying time between coats (refer to product label for specific times, generally 2-4 hours).
- Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or in highly humid conditions.
Compatibility
This paint is suitable for interior walls and ceilings. It is compatible with most common interior surfaces including plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted surfaces (after proper preparation). It is not recommended for floors or exterior use.
Care & Maintenance
The washable matt finish allows for easy cleaning.
- For everyday marks and spills, gently wipe the affected area with a soft, damp cloth and mild non-abrasive detergent.
- Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the paint finish.
- Wipe spills promptly to prevent staining.
- Regular dusting will help maintain the fresh appearance of your painted surfaces.
