Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Loosen the laces sufficiently to easily slide your foot into the shoe.
- Gently slide your foot in, ensuring your heel sits snugly in the EVA heelcup.
- Begin tightening the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring an even and secure fit across your foot and around your ankle. Adjust as needed for personalized comfort.
Compatibility
The Brodin Mid's classic, simple design makes it highly compatible with a wide range of casual attire, including jeans, chinos, and casual trousers. Its high-top silhouette offers a versatile look suitable for various casual occasions, from urban exploration to relaxed social gatherings. Given its leather construction, it's particularly well-suited for cooler seasons or environments where a more substantial shoe is preferred, while still being breathable enough for moderate temperatures.
Care
To maintain the premium look and extend the life of your Clarks Brodin Mid:
- Regular Cleaning: Gently wipe off dirt and dust with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. For more stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a high-quality beeswax leather conditioner (e.g., every 1-2 months, depending on wear) to keep the leather supple, prevent drying, and maintain its natural luster. Follow product instructions carefully.
- Protection: Consider using a water and stain repellent spray formulated for leather to protect against the elements.
- Drying: If your shoes get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources or sunlight, which can damage the leather. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help preserve their shape and absorb moisture.
