Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Brooks Glycerin Flex trainers, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in: While comfortable out of the box, perform a few shorter 3-5 mile runs to allow the nitrogen-infused foam to settle into your foot strike.
- Surface Compatibility: These are best suited for roads, treadmills, and smooth cycling paths; avoid rough or technical trails to prevent premature wear on the flexible outsole pods.
- Cleaning: Remove surface dirt with a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap. Never machine wash or tumble dry your trainers, as high heat damages the midsole foam and adhesives.
- Air Drying: Always let your shoes air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can cause the materials to warp or degrade.
