Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure proper lacing to achieve the personalized FORMFIT. Start with a loose lace, then gradually tighten from the toe upwards, making sure the midfoot feels secure without being overly restrictive. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points.
- Break-in: While race shoes are often ready out of the box, it's advisable to do a few shorter runs or speed workouts in them before race day to get accustomed to the feel and confirm the fit.
Compatibility
- Surface: The Endorphin Pro 4 is specifically designed for asphalt (road) surfaces. Its outsole grip and cushioning system are optimized for hard, flat surfaces.
- Distance: Ideal for competitive distances including 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon.
- Stride: The 8mm offset is generally considered a moderate drop, suitable for a wide range of foot strikes.
Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Endorphin Pro 4 shoes:
- Cleaning: Gently remove dirt and mud with a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and a small amount of mild soap mixed with cool water. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, which can cause materials to shrink or become brittle.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Remove insoles if they become wet to help with drying and prevent odors.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Endorphin Pro 4 with other training shoes. This allows the cushioning foam to decompress and can extend the lifespan of your race shoes.
