Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Cloudtilt trainers is straightforward:
- Try On: Always try on both shoes with the type of socks you typically wear. Ensure there's a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
- Lacing: Lace them snugly but not too tightly. Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what best suits your foot shape and avoids pressure points.
- Initial Walk: Take a short walk to ensure they feel comfortable and secure before your first run.
Compatibility
- Foot Type: Designed for a broad range of foot types, providing balanced cushioning. (Info needed: Specifics on pronation control are not provided; if you have significant overpronation or supination, consult a specialist.)
- Surfaces: Ideal for road running, track, and light urban trails. Not specifically designed for aggressive off-road or technical terrain.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your trainers:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt. For tougher stains, use a soft cloth or brush with mild soap and cold water. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), which can cause materials to shrink or crack.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles regularly to air out. You can use shoe deodorizers or baking soda in a sock to absorb odors.
