Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Lacing: Ensure your trainers are laced securely but not overly tight. Use the eyelets to customize the fit around your midfoot. A 'heel lock' lacing technique can help prevent heel slippage if needed.
- Initial Wear: Wear your new Cloudtilt trainers for shorter periods initially to allow your feet to adapt to the cushioning and fit. While they don't require significant 'breaking in,' this helps ensure comfort.
Compatibility
- Foot Type: On Running Cloudtilt trainers are generally designed for individuals with a neutral gait. If you have specific pronation control needs, consult a running specialist.
- Terrain: Best suited for road running, paved paths, sidewalks, and light groomed trails. The synthetic sole provides good traction on these surfaces.
- Activity: Excellent for daily running, walking, gym workouts, and general active lifestyle wear.
Product Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your trainers:
- Cleaning: Gently remove dirt and debris using a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) or a damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- For the upper, wipe with a damp cloth.
- For the sole, use a brush to remove trapped stones or mud.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can damage materials.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources. Keep them stuffed with paper to help maintain their shape if needed.
- Avoid Submersion: Do not machine wash or submerge your trainers in water, as this can affect the cushioning and adhesive integrity.
