Setup
Getting started with your Salomon XT-6 trainers is straightforward. Simply put them on and adjust the laces to achieve a snug, comfortable fit. Ensure there's enough room in the toe box for natural foot movement without excessive sliding.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed primarily for trail running, light hiking, and general outdoor use on varied terrains. Their stability and grip features make them highly compatible with uneven paths, dirt trails, and mixed surfaces. While they can be worn casually, their technical features are best utilized in their intended outdoor environment.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your XT-6 trainers:
- Cleaning: After use, especially on muddy trails, gently brush off loose dirt. Use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe down the mesh and synthetic areas. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them in direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources like radiators, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. You can stuff them with newspaper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Avoid Submersion: While durable, the mesh upper is not fully waterproof. Avoid prolonged submersion in water to protect the shoe's internal components and maintain its quick-drying properties.
