Setup
Your Salomon XT-6 Trainers come ready to wear. The primary setup involves familiarizing yourself with the Quicklace system:
- To tighten: Pull the lace tab upwards firmly until the desired tension is achieved across your foot.
- To loosen: Press the release button on the Quicklace tab and pull the tab away from the shoe.
- Secure the lace: Stow the excess lace and the Quicklace tab into the dedicated lace pocket on the tongue to prevent snagging.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for rugged outdoor activities like trail running, hiking, and general outdoor exploration. Their durable construction and advanced grip make them suitable for varied terrain, including mud, loose earth, and rocky paths. They are also widely adopted as a lifestyle shoe, compatible with various casual and streetwear outfits due to their unique aesthetic and comfort.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your XT-6 Trainers:
- Cleaning: After outdoor use, remove any loose dirt with a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, wipe the mesh upper and TPU overlays with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives. Rinse with clean water.
- Drying: Allow your trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, which can cause materials to shrink or crack.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are clean and dry before storing to prevent mildew or odors.
- Insoles: The OrthoLite insoles are removable and can be hand-washed separately if needed.
