Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The dish is ready to use upon arrival. Ensure it is clean before its first use.
Compatibility: This casserole dish is compatible with all stovetops, including induction, gas, electric, and ceramic. It is also oven-safe, allowing for seamless transitions from stovetop to oven.
Care:
- Preheating: Always preheat cast iron gradually over low to medium heat to prevent thermal shock.
- Cooking: Use wood, silicone, or nylon utensils to protect the enamel coating. Avoid metal utensils that can scratch.
- Cleaning: After use, allow the dish to cool slightly. Wash with warm water and mild dish soap using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Avoid harsh detergents and steel wool.
- Drying: Thoroughly dry the dish immediately after washing with a soft towel. For best results and to prevent rust, place the clean, dry dish on the stovetop over low heat for a few minutes to ensure all moisture evaporates.
- Storage: Store in a dry place. If stacking, place a protective cloth or paper towel between dishes to prevent scratching.
Do Not: Do not use in a dishwasher or microwave. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
