Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the kettle, power base, and all packaging materials from the box.
- Position: Place the power base on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, ensuring it is within reach of a standard electrical outlet.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle to the maximum level with cold tap water. Bring the water to a boil, then discard it. Repeat this process twice to thoroughly clean the interior of the kettle.
Compatibility
This kettle is a standalone appliance designed for household use. It is compatible with standard domestic electrical outlets. No special compatibility requirements are needed.
Care
- Exterior Cleaning: Regularly wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or immersing the kettle or its power base in water.
- Limescale Filter Maintenance: The removable limescale filter should be cleaned frequently. Unclip it from the kettle's spout, rinse it under running water, and gently brush away any accumulated deposits. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reattaching it.
- Descaling: In areas with hard water, it is recommended to descale the kettle every 1 to 3 months. Use a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for kettles and follow the product's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water can be used; fill the kettle with the mixture, let it sit (do not boil with vinegar unless specifically instructed by a product), then rinse the kettle thoroughly multiple times to remove all residue and odor.
