Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Keep packaging for potential future returns or storage.
- Placement: Position the toaster on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls, cabinets, and flammable materials. Ensure good ventilation around the unit.
- First Use: Before toasting bread, operate the toaster for a few minutes on the highest browning setting without any bread. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial smells. Ensure the room is well-ventilated during this process.
- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a standard 220-240V AC electrical outlet.
Compatibility
This toaster is designed for use with standard bread slices, bagels (if they fit the slot width), crumpets, and English muffins. Always ensure items fit loosely in the slots to prevent jamming.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning Crumb Trays: The two removable crumb trays are located at the bottom of the toaster. Pull them out, discard crumbs, and wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting. Clean regularly to prevent crumb build-up and potential fire hazards.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal polishers, as these can scratch the finish. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
- Safety: Always unplug the toaster when not in use or before cleaning. Never insert metal objects into the toaster slots. Do not cover the toaster while it is in operation.
