Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface is perfectly smooth, clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose paint. Sand rough areas if necessary.
- Measure and Cut: Measure the area you wish to cover, adding a few extra centimeters to each side for trimming. Use the grid lines on the backing paper for precise cutting with scissors or a utility knife.
- Initial Application: Peel back about 1-2 inches of the backing paper from one edge. Position the exposed adhesive edge onto your surface, ensuring it's straight.
- Smooth and Peel: Slowly peel away the remaining backing paper with one hand, while simultaneously smoothing the film onto the surface with the other hand, using a soft cloth or a squeegee. Work from the center outwards to push out air bubbles.
- Trim Excess: Once fully applied, carefully trim any excess film around the edges using a utility knife for a neat finish.
Compatibility
This self-adhesive film is designed for use on all smooth surfaces, including:
- Wood (painted, varnished, or laminate)
- Metal
- Glass
- Plastic
- Tiles
- Melamine
It is not recommended for heavily textured, porous, or extremely uneven surfaces, as this can affect adhesion and the final appearance.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: The film is `easy to clean`. Simply wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Heat: While heat-resistant up to 70°C, avoid placing extremely hot items directly onto the surface without protection to prolong the film's lifespan.
