Setup Instructions

1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface where you plan to apply the film is completely clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any dust, grease, or debris. For best results, use a mild cleaner and let the surface dry thoroughly.
2. Measure and Cut: Measure the dimensions of the surface you wish to cover. Add a few extra centimeters to each side for trimming. Use the grid lines on the backing paper as a guide to cut the film accurately with scissors or a craft knife.
3. Apply the Film:

• Carefully peel off about 5-10 cm of the backing paper from one corner or edge.
• Align the exposed adhesive edge of the film with the corresponding edge of your surface.
• Slowly and evenly peel off more of the backing paper with one hand while using a squeegee or a soft cloth to smooth the film onto the surface with your other hand. Work from the center outwards to push out any air bubbles.
• If bubbles appear, gently peel back the film to that point and reapply, smoothing it down again. A small pin can be used to prick stubborn bubbles, then smooth them out.

1. Trim Excess: Once the entire film is applied, use a sharp craft knife to carefully trim any excess film along the edges for a neat finish.

Compatibility

D-C-Fix Self Adhesive Film is compatible with most dry, flat, and smooth surfaces. This includes, but is not limited to, wooden furniture, laminate, painted walls (if smooth), metal, and glass. It is not recommended for highly textured surfaces, unfinished wood, porous materials like brick, or freshly painted surfaces (wait at least three weeks for paint to cure).

Care Instructions

• Cleaning: Clean the film using a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the matt finish.
• Heat Exposure: The film is heat resistant up to 70°C (158°F). Do not place extremely hot items, such as pots directly from the stove, onto the film without a protective mat, as temperatures above this limit can cause damage or discoloration.
• General Maintenance: While durable, avoid sharp objects that could scratch the surface. If edges begin to lift over time, ensure they are clean and re-press firmly.
