Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Utilize the extended lacing system to customize the fit around your foot. Start from the bottom eyelets, ensuring even tension as you work your way up. Adjust for a snug, comfortable fit that prevents your foot from sliding inside the boot.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-quality leather boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial to allow the leather to mold perfectly to your foot's unique shape. Wear them for light training sessions before competitive matches.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for `Soft Ground (SG)` pitches. They feature conical and blade studs that excel on wet, muddy, or soft natural grass surfaces, providing maximum traction. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or firm ground (FG) may damage the boots and is not recommended, as it can also compromise stability and grip.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on soft ground, clean excess mud and dirt from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can dry out and crack the leather. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather conditioner to the `luxurious leather forefoot` to keep it supple and prevent cracking.
- Lacquer Finish: Be aware that the lacquer finish on the bottom of the `Comfortframe soleplate` may wear off during play. This is cosmetic and does not affect the boot's performance or durability.
