Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Utilize the extended lacing system to achieve a secure and personalized fit. Start lacing from the bottom, pulling firmly but not too tightly through each eyelet to ensure even pressure across your foot. Experiment with different lacing patterns to find what feels most comfortable.
- Break-in: As with all quality leather boots, a short break-in period is recommended. Wear them for light training sessions or walks initially to allow the Fusionskin upper to mold perfectly to your foot shape. This will enhance comfort and touch.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or require maximum stud penetration for optimal grip. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or firm ground (FG) surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the soleplate, compromise performance, and potentially void any warranty.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, immediately wipe off mud and dirt with a damp cloth. For tougher stains on the leather forefoot, use a specialized leather cleaner designed for football boots. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive scrubbing.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or prolonged sunlight, as this can cause the leather to crack, stiffen, or shrink. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their original shape.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place, ideally in a breathable boot bag to protect them from dust and external damage when not in use.
- Lacquer Wear: Be aware that the lacquer finish on the bottom of the Comfortframe soleplate is designed to wear off during play. This is a normal cosmetic change and does not affect the boot's performance, durability, or structural integrity.
