Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Cloudmonster Void Trainers is straightforward:
- Lacing: Ensure you lace them securely but not too tightly. Utilize all eyelets for a locked-in feel. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points.
- Socks: Pair with high-quality running socks designed to wick moisture and prevent blisters for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These trainers are highly compatible with:
- Running Surfaces: Primarily designed for road and paved surfaces where their full cushioning potential can be realized. They can handle light gravel paths but are not recommended for technical trails.
- Running Style: Ideal for neutral runners seeking maximum cushioning. They can also provide a supportive ride for those who need a bit of extra impact protection.
- Activities: Best suited for running, jogging, and walking. While comfortable for general wear, their design is optimized for athletic performance.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your trainers:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush (e.g., an old toothbrush). For deeper cleaning, hand wash using mild soap (like dish soap or laundry detergent) and cold water. Avoid hot water, which can damage materials.
- Drying: Air dry your trainers away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight) as excessive heat can degrade adhesives and materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid leaving them in extreme temperatures.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Cloudmonster Void trainers with another pair of running shoes. This allows the cushioning to fully decompress and recover between runs, extending their lifespan.
- Insoles: Remove and air out insoles periodically to prevent odor buildup and allow them to dry fully.
