Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite FG boots are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply lace them up securely to achieve a snug, comfortable fit that molds to your foot. It's recommended to break them in during a light training session before full-intensity play to allow the materials to adapt to your foot's shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) football pitches. This includes natural grass surfaces that are dry and offer good grip. Using them on artificial grass (AG) or soft ground (SG) surfaces may lead to accelerated wear of the studs and compromise performance.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and debris from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or a damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used, but avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage. Placing newspaper inside can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Chrome Finish: Be aware that the chrome finish on the bottom of the boot is cosmetic and will wear off during play. This is a normal process and will not affect the performance or integrity of the product.
