Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation:
- Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and existing coatings that are flaking or peeling.
- Sand down any rough surfaces. If the wood is bare, a light sanding is recommended. For previously treated wood, remove loose paint or stain.
- For new wood, a base coat of Sadolin Wood Primer is recommended for optimal protection.
Application:
- Stir the woodstain thoroughly before and during use.
- Apply evenly using a good quality brush. Avoid over-brushing.
- Apply in the direction of the wood grain.
- Typically, two coats are recommended for best results, allowing adequate drying time between coats.
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
Compatibility:
Sadolin Extra Durable Woodstain is designed for use on softwood and hardwood exterior joinery.
Care:
Clean application tools with water immediately after use. For general cleaning of the protected surface, use a mild detergent and water with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Storage:
Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep out of reach of children.
