Preparation & Application
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free of dust, grease, or loose paint. Use a mild cleaner if necessary, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Measure: Measure the surface you intend to cover, adding a few extra centimeters to each side for trimming.
- Cut: Use the grid lines on the backing paper as a guide to cut the film to the desired size using scissors or a utility knife.
- Peel & Stick: Carefully peel a small section of the backing paper (about 5-10 cm) from one edge. Position the exposed adhesive edge onto your surface.
- Apply & Smooth: Gradually peel away the remaining backing paper with one hand while using a smoothing tool (like a squeegee, credit card, or soft cloth) to smooth the film onto the surface with the other. Work from the center outwards to push out air bubbles.
- Trim: Once fully applied, use a sharp utility knife to trim any excess film along the edges for a neat finish.
Compatibility
This film is best suited for smooth, non-porous surfaces such as:
- Laminated furniture
- Painted wood or MDF
- Plastic surfaces
- Glass
- Metal
Avoid applying to rough, dusty, or porous surfaces like unfinished wood, brick, or highly textured walls, as adhesion may be compromised.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scourers, or harsh chemicals that could damage the film's finish.
- Heat Resistance: The film is heat resistant up to 75°C (167°F). Avoid placing extremely hot items directly onto the surface or exposing it to open flames/high heat sources.
