D-C-Fix Self Adhesive Film - Sage Green

For best results and adhesion, we recommend applying D-C-Fix film to smooth, clean, and non-porous surfaces. Applying over wallpaper or textured surfaces may result in poor adhesion or an uneven finish.

While the film itself is water-resistant and can be wiped clean, we do not recommend submerging it in water. Ensure edges are well-sealed, especially in areas prone to splashes, to prevent water from getting underneath.

D-C-Fix film is designed to be fully removable. Start by gently peeling up a corner. If resistant, you can use a hairdryer on a low setting to slightly warm the film, which softens the adhesive and makes removal easier. Peel slowly at a 45-degree angle.

You can carefully reposition the film shortly after initial application, especially if you haven't pressed it down too firmly. However, repeated repositioning can reduce the adhesive's effectiveness. It's best to aim for accurate placement the first time.

This D-C-Fix film is heat-resistant up to 70°C (158°F). It's suitable for most indoor surfaces, but avoid placing very hot items directly on it or using it near open flames or high-heat appliances.

You will typically need a measuring tape, a utility knife or sharp scissors, and a squeegee or a soft cloth/credit card to smooth out bubbles.

Gently lift the film to the bubble, smooth it back down with a squeegee from the center outwards. For stubborn small bubbles, use a pin to prick the bubble and then smooth it out.

Ensure the surface is completely clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose paint. Re-clean the area and press the film firmly. If the surface is porous or textured, adhesion may be limited.

Press the edges down firmly again. Ensure the surface is not exposed to excessive moisture or extreme temperature changes shortly after application. Consider using a heat gun on a very low setting to slightly warm the edges and press them down for better adhesion, if safe for the surface.
