Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging and remove any protective films or inserts.
- Placement: Position the toaster on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains or flammable materials. Ensure adequate space around the toaster for ventilation.
- First Use: Before toasting food, operate the toaster empty on a medium setting (`3` or `4`) a couple of times. This helps burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminates initial odors. Some light smoke or odor is normal during this process.
Compatibility
This toaster is designed for standard household electrical outlets. Ensure your power supply matches the voltage specified on the toaster's rating label (usually on the underside).
Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the toaster is unplugged from the power outlet and completely cool.
- Empty Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it's dry before reinserting.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Interior Cleaning: Never insert utensils or your fingers into the toasting slots. Gently tip the toaster upside down over a sink to dislodge any remaining crumbs. Do not immerse the toaster in water.
- Cord Storage: Utilize the integrated cord storage on the base of the toaster to keep the power cord neat and tidy when not in use.
