Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and loose material. Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth. For previously painted glossy surfaces, lightly sand to provide a key.
- Prime (Optional but Recommended): For new, bare, or porous surfaces, apply a suitable primer to ensure optimal adhesion and a consistent finish.
- Protect Your Space: Use painter's tape to mask off skirting boards, door frames, and ceilings. Cover furniture and flooring with dust sheets.
- Stir the Paint: Open the tin and stir the paint thoroughly using a paint stirrer until it's a consistent color and texture throughout.
Compatibility
This paint is designed for interior use only and is compatible with:
- Interior Walls: Plaster, drywall, and other common wall materials.
- Ceilings: Plastered or textured ceilings.
- Interior Wood: Skirting boards, architraves, doors, and frames.
It is generally not recommended for:
- Exterior surfaces.
- Floors or surfaces that experience heavy foot traffic.
- Areas of high moisture or where a highly scrubbable finish is required (e.g., bathrooms, kitchens).
Care
- Cleaning: The flat matt finish is delicate. For minor marks, gently wipe with a *very lightly dampened* soft cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish and create shiny patches.
- Storage: Store any leftover paint in its original tin, sealed tightly, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and frost. Ensure the lid is firmly on to prevent air exposure and drying.
- Disposal: Dispose of unused paint and empty containers according to local environmental regulations.
