Proper setup and care ensure you get the most out of your Apple AirPods (4th generation).
Initial Setup

- Open the Case: With your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch unlocked, hold the open AirPods case close to your device.
- Follow On-Screen Prompts: An animation will appear on your device's screen. Tap "Connect" and follow any additional instructions.
- Pair with Other Devices: Once paired with one Apple ID-linked device, AirPods should automatically connect to other devices linked to the same Apple ID.
Compatibility
- Apple Devices: Fully compatible and optimized for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV running the latest software versions.
- Other Bluetooth Devices: AirPods can function as standard Bluetooth headphones with non-Apple devices, but features like Personalized Spatial Audio, dynamic head tracking, and seamless device switching will be unavailable.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe your AirPods and the charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters openings.
- Ear Tip Cleaning: If your AirPods have ear tips (Info needed: [Does this model include ear tips?]), remove them and rinse with water. Let them dry completely before reattaching.
- Charging Port: Keep the charging port on the case free of debris. Use a dry, soft brush if necessary.
