For non-Apple devices, you can manually pair them via Bluetooth:

- Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and select "AirPods 4" from the list of available devices.
Compatibility
Apple AirPods 4 are primarily designed for seamless integration with Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Macs, and Apple TVs. While they can connect to any Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., Android phones, Windows laptops), certain features like Personalized Spatial Audio, Find My support, and automatic device switching may be limited or unavailable on non-Apple platforms.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your AirPods 4:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean your AirPods and the charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For earwax buildup on the speaker mesh, gently use a dry cotton swab. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Water Resistance: AirPods 4 and their case are rated IP54 dust, sweat, and water resistant. This means they can withstand splashes, sweat, and light rain, making them suitable for workouts. However, they are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water or used for swimming. If they get wet, dry them thoroughly before placing them back in the charging case.
- Charging: Always use a clean USB-C cable and a compatible power adapter to charge the charging case. Ensure the charging port is free of debris.
- Storage: When not in use, store your AirPods in their charging case to protect them and ensure they are always charged.
- Avoid Extremes: Do not expose your AirPods to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or high humidity.
- Protect from Drops: While durable, repeated drops can damage the internal components or casing.
