Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces before putting the boots on. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated. Tighten the laces evenly from toe to ankle, securing them with a firm knot. The `lace closure` allows for a personalized fit.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are exclusively designed for soft ground (SG) pitches. The `ControlFrame 2.0` outsole with screw-in studs is optimized for traction on wet, muddy, or natural grass surfaces. Using them on firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor courts will not provide optimal performance and may cause damage to the boots or lead to instability.
- Fit: Features a `regular fit` with an `adidas Primeknit collar` for a secure, adaptive feel.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your adidas Predator Elite SG boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, clean off dirt and mud. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the `HybridTouch` upper, avoiding harsh chemicals. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used. Rinse thoroughly.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check the `screw-in studs` for tightness. Hand-tighten them if they feel loose. Replace worn or damaged studs as needed to maintain optimal traction. Ensure studs are free of mud accumulation before storing.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag or box to protect them from dust and damage.
