Setup
- Initial Fit: When first trying on your adidas Predator Elite SG boots, ensure they provide a snug but comfortable fit. The Primeknit collar should feel secure around your ankle.
- Lacing: Utilize the traditional lace closure to achieve a personalized fit. Begin lacing from the bottom, applying even tension as you work your way up. Double-knotting is recommended to prevent laces from coming undone during play.
- Breaking In: New boots often require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or shorter games initially to allow the HybridTouch upper to mold to your foot shape for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are wet or muddy, where the longer, often removable, metal studs can penetrate the surface to provide maximum traction. They are *not* recommended for firm ground (FG), artificial ground (AG), or indoor surfaces, as using them on unsuitable surfaces can damage the boots and increase the risk of injury.
Care
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, especially on soft ground, remove excess mud and debris from the ControlFrame 2.0 soleplate and studs. A soft brush or a gentle wipe with a damp cloth is usually sufficient.
- Cleaning the Upper: For the HybridTouch upper, gently wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners which can damage the material.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hair dryers, as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Soleplate Lacquer: Please note that the lacquer finish on the soleplate is designed to provide an aesthetic appeal. It is normal for this finish to wear off during play, and this will *not* affect the performance or durability of the product.
