Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are tightened evenly from the toe box to the ankle collar. A snug but comfortable fit is crucial for performance and to prevent blisters. Double knot your laces to avoid them coming undone during play.
- Break-In: New boots may feel stiff initially. Wear them for short periods during training sessions before using them in a match to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are designed exclusively for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are dry to slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces (IC) can damage the boots, compromise performance, and potentially lead to injury.
- User: Optimized for adult male players, available in UK size 12. Ensure correct sizing for optimal comfort and performance.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your boots and maintains their performance:
- Cleaning After Each Use: Remove loose dirt and grass immediately after playing. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water to wipe down the upper and soleplate.
- Deep Cleaning: For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the material.
- Drying: Never use direct heat sources like radiators or hair dryers to dry your boots, as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink. Stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape, then air dry them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a shoe bag can protect them from dust and scratches.
