Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon first use, it's recommended to break in your Nike Premier 3 Low FG boots during a few light training sessions. This allows the soft leather to mold to your foot's unique shape, maximizing comfort and fit. If you prefer a sleeker boot profile, you have the option to customize the foldover tongue. Carefully follow the dotted cutting line on the tongue to remove it, ensuring a clean edge and maintaining the boot's integrity.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) conditions. For optimal performance, durability, and traction, they should be used exclusively on slightly wet, short-grass natural pitches. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very hard/dry ground may compromise traction, increase wear, and potentially invalidate warranties.
Care
Proper care will extend the lifespan and maintain the performance of your leather boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off dirt and mud with a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources (like radiators or in direct sunlight) as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather conditioner or cream to keep the leather supple, prevent cracking, and maintain its water resistance. Follow the conditioner product's instructions.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape.
