Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Break-In
Upon first wearing your Nike Premier 3 Low FG boots, they may feel snug. This is normal, as the leather upper is designed to stretch and mold to your foot. Wear them for short periods during light training sessions or walks before using them in a full match to help break them in comfortably. Proper fitting football socks can also enhance comfort.
Compatibility (Surfaces)
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces, which refers to natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy.
- Optimal for: Natural grass, firm and dry to slightly damp pitches.
- Not Recommended for: Artificial Grass (AG), Soft Ground (SG) or extremely hard ground. Using FG boots on AG can damage the studs and reduce your grip, while on SG they won't provide sufficient penetration.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, remove loose dirt and grass with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Wipe Down: Use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to gently clean the upper. For the White Mystic Green colorway, this is especially important to prevent staining.
- Dry Properly: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Stuff with Paper: To help maintain their shape and absorb excess moisture, stuff the boots with newspaper while they dry.
- Condition Leather (Optional): Periodically apply a leather conditioner to the upper to keep it supple and prevent cracking, especially in dry climates. (Info needed: Specific recommended leather conditioner if available)
- Store Properly: Keep boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
