Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon unboxing, ensure all packaging materials are removed. The product description mentions "Self Assembly Required: Yes"; for a toaster, this typically involves minor steps like attaching a base or ensuring components are securely in place, rather than complex construction. Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains or flammable materials. Plug the toaster into a standard 220-240V 50/60Hz electrical outlet. Before first use, it's recommended to run a few toasting cycles without bread to burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate potential odors.
Compatibility
This toaster is compatible with standard household electrical systems (220-240V). Its two extra wide slots accommodate a variety of bread types and thicknesses, including standard sliced bread, bagels, crumpets, and artisanal bread slices.
Care
- Cleaning the Crumb Tray: The removable crumb tray is essential for hygiene. After each use, allow the toaster to cool completely, then slide out the crumb tray from the bottom. Discard the crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Reinsert the tray securely.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers as they can damage the finish. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Internal Cleaning: Never insert metal objects into the toaster slots. For any food lodged inside, unplug the toaster, let it cool, and carefully tip it upside down over a sink to dislodge crumbs. Do not immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Use the cord storage feature at the base to neatly wrap the power cord when the toaster is not in use, keeping your countertop tidy.
