Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Keep the packaging for future storage or moving if desired.
- Placement: Position the toaster on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls, cabinets, or flammable materials. Ensure there's adequate space around it for ventilation.
- First Use: Before toasting food, operate the toaster for a few minutes on a medium setting without bread. This helps burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminates initial odors. Some light smoke or odor is normal during this first use.
- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a standard wall outlet. Ensure the cord is not dangling where it can be tripped over or pulled.
Compatibility
This toaster is compatible with standard household electrical outlets (voltage as indicated on the product label). It's designed to accommodate a wide range of bread types and sizes, from thin slices to thick bagels, thanks to its extra wide slots.
Care
- Crumb Trays: After each use, or when cooled, slide out the two removable crumb trays from the base. Discard collected crumbs and wipe the trays clean with a damp cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the premium coated stainless-steel housing with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn spots, a mild kitchen cleaner can be used, but avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the finish. Always ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Never Immerse: Do not immerse the toaster, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Cord Storage: Utilize the cord storage wrap in the base to keep excess cord tidy when not in use or for storage.
- Safety: Always unplug the toaster when not in use and before cleaning. Never insert metal objects into the toaster slots. Do not leave the toaster unattended while in operation.
