FAQs
Does this sheet fit a standard mattress?
Yes, while it is designed for extra deep mattresses up to 38cm, it will also fit standard mattresses, though you may have excess fabric that will need to be tucked firmly under the base.
Is this sheet suitable for summer use?
While brushed cotton is designed for warmth, it is made of breathable natural fibers. Many users find it comfortable year-round, though it may be too warm for those who prefer cool bedding in high summer.
What is the material composition?
The sheet is made from 100% brushed cotton flannelette.
How deep is the pocket?
The sheet features a generous 38cm (15 inch) depth.
Will this sheet pill after washing?
Brushed cotton can develop pills over time. To minimize this, wash inside out and avoid using high-heat tumble drying.
Troubleshooting
Sheet pulling off the corners
Ensure the mattress is not exceeding the 38cm depth limit and that the elastic is tucked fully beneath the mattress frame.
Fabric surface feels rough after washing
This is often due to high-heat drying. Use a lower heat setting or line dry to keep the brushed cotton soft.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Superior warmth and heat retention for chilly nights
- Extra deep 38cm pocket fits modern thick mattresses
- Soft brushed finish offers immediate comfort without a break-in period
- Natural cotton fiber is breathable and soft against the skin
Cons
- Brushed cotton can be prone to pilling if not washed according to instructions
- Requires more drying time due to the heavier 165gsm fabric weight
- May feel too warm for those who sleep very hot during summer
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up, identify the corners of the sheet and align them with your mattress corners, pulling the elasticated fabric firmly down to ensure the base is fully covered. For care, wash the sheet on a gentle cycle in cool or lukewarm water to preserve the brushed fibers. Avoid using harsh bleaching agents, as these can weaken the cotton. Tumble dry on a low setting or air dry whenever possible to prevent shrinkage and maintain the soft texture of the fabric. Because of its weight, ensure the sheet is completely dry before storage to prevent mildew.
