Care
Proper care will preserve the beauty and longevity of your calfskin leather bag:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe the exterior gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust and light dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a specialized leather cleaner appropriate for calfskin, following the product's instructions carefully.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a high-quality leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent drying or cracking. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid Water & Moisture: Leather is susceptible to water damage. If the bag gets wet, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth and allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
- Storage: When not in use, stuff the bag lightly with tissue paper to help maintain its shape. Store it in its original dust bag (if provided) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Protect from Stains: Avoid contact with oils, inks, cosmetics, and harsh chemicals, as these can permanently stain the leather.
- Handle with Care: Avoid overfilling the bag, which can strain the seams and alter its shape.
