Your Marc Jacobs Small Leather Tote Bag comes ready for immediate use. To utilize the removable adjustable leather strap:
- Locate the two small metal clasps on each end of the strap.
- Attach each clasp to the D-rings located on the sides of the bag, near the base of the top handles.
- To adjust the strap length, locate the buckle and slide the leather through to achieve your desired drop. Ensure the buckle prong is securely inserted into a hole.
- To remove the strap, simply unclip the clasps from the D-rings.
Compatibility
This small tote is designed to be highly versatile and compatible with:
- Small Personal Essentials: Such as smartphones (most models), cardholders, keys, lip balm, and small cosmetic items.
- Various Styles: Its classic black leather and minimalist design complement a wide range of fashion aesthetics, from casual to business-casual and even semi-formal.
- Diverse Occasions: Suitable for daily commutes, weekend outings, evening events, and travel where a compact bag is preferred.
Care
To ensure your full-grain leather tote remains in excellent condition, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the bag gently with a soft, damp (not wet) cloth. For stubborn marks, use a leather-specific cleaner following the product instructions.
- Stain Treatment: Address spills immediately by blotting with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, which can spread the stain.
- Conditioning: Apply a high-quality leather conditioner periodically (every 3-6 months) to keep the leather supple and prevent drying or cracking. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Storage: When not in use, store your bag in its branded dustbag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Do not store in plastic, which can cause the leather to dry out.
- Avoid Overfilling: Overfilling the bag can cause it to lose its shape or put undue stress on the seams and zipper.
- Protect from Water: While leather has some natural resistance, prolonged exposure to heavy rain should be avoided. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use alcohol, acetone, or other harsh chemicals, as these can damage the leather finish.
